Fundraising for Nellie

I have followed Nellie’s story for a long time and have always been deeply touched by it. Nellie is only 4 years old and endures terminal Infantile MLD (childhood dementia). Instead of looking for schools for her to attend, Nellie's family had to look at hospice: Chestnut Tree House.

Since becoming a mother, it has truly resonated with me even further what Nellie's mum Megan and the family must endure every single day.

Inspired by my daughter, I started Elora by Lenore with the intention of staying home with Elora and soaking up these precious few years. Nellie helps me realise just how short life can be and I have always wished I could do something to help her. Whilst there is nothing I can truly do to help, my goal is to simply bring a smile to Nellie’s face and help her find happiness.

Raising funds for Chestnut Tree House will ensure that Nellie can live the best life possible while receiving the care she needs. Now that my business has started, I realised we, with the help of our lovely customers, could contribute in a meaningful way.

Throughout October, 50% of ALL Elora By Lenore sales will be donated to Chestnut Tree House as part of a fundraiser organised by Nellie's uncle, Rory.

Made just for and inspired by Nellie, we have released 'The Nellie Design,’ or you can browse our collection of custom knit jumpers to see if there’s anything else you would like.

Thank you to each and every person who jumps on board this cause to help Nellie live the rest of her life in happiness.
