Stitch and Chat In-Person Embroidery Classes

Learn how to embroider kids jumpers/cardigans, adult cardigans, tote bags or hand towels in a calm, supportive, in person class!

My beginner classes are perfect for first time stitchers, or anyone wanting extra support while learning foundational embroidery skills and techniques. These sessions are designed to help you slow down, learn new skills, and create something truly special for a little one in your life.

Whether you don’t feel confident starting at home, or you simply want a creative space to sit, stitch and connect with like minded people, these classes are for you.

I’ll guide you step by step through the process, sharing the same techniques, tips and methods I use in my own embroidery work. Alongside over 25 years of stitching experience, I also bring my background as a high school teacher, allowing me to combine my skills while supporting you in real time throughout the class.

Each week, a new pattern is featured, with the same design taught in both the Wednesday and Sunday classes.

If you need more time to finish your project, you can purchase a Return Ticket. You can use it to attend the second class that same week to continue working on the featured design, or save it for any future Stitch & Chat class. Simply bring along your unfinished project and enjoy extra stitching time with guidance and support, no matter what design is being taught that day.

Group & Team-Building Sessions

Looking for a creative and relaxed activity for your team or group? I offer beginner-friendly embroidery sessions perfect for team building, corporate events, social groups and private bookings.

I can come to you with everything needed to create an embroidered tote bag or hand towel. No experience is necessary, I’ll guide everyone through the basics step-by-step!

Each participant receives a full DIY embroidery kit to keep, so they can continue their project at home.

Groups of 8–25 people. Larger groups can be accommodated across multiple sessions, and sessions can be customised to suit your needs.

Prefer one-on-one support?

• $195 – Private 1:1 Session (2 hours, includes a full kit)
Receive personalised, intensive embroidery coaching from Lenore via Zoom or in person. Perfect for beginners wanting extra confidence, or anyone looking to learn new techniques with dedicated support and individualised guidance.

• $165 – Private 1:1 Session (Bring Your Own EBL Kit, 2 Hours)
Enjoy the same personalised, intensive coaching while working on an existing Elora By Lenore project. Available via Zoom or in person. Perfect for finishing a project, troubleshooting techniques, or building your embroidery skills with dedicated one-on-one support.

Please Note:
In-person private sessions are held at the Nunawading Community Hub and are included in the session price.

If you would prefer an in-home session, I am happy to travel to you. Travel fees are calculated based on the radius distance from Nunawading:

• Within 20km: $35
• 20-30: $50
• 30-40km: $65 

Travel fees are charged in addition to the private session price. If you are further than 40km from Nunawading please reach out to discuss the travel fee.

Free on-site parking available (approx. 200 spaces).
10 minute walk from Nunawading Station.

Children Attending

Children are welcome to attend (Elora may even attend sometimes), however this is not a supervised childcare setting.

Parents are responsible for their child at all times and are expected to bring suitable entertainment. Children must not disrupt other participants during the class.

Participants aged 12 and over are welcome to attend if a parent or guardian feels they are capable of basic embroidery.

Participants aged 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Cancellation Policy

• 7+ days notice: full refund or credit
• 3–6 days notice: 50% refund or full credit
• Within 48 hours: no refund (rescheduling may be considered)

You may transfer your spot to a friend if needed.
No-shows are not eligible for refunds or credits.
If we cancel the class, you’ll receive a full refund or option to reschedule.
